Justin Worley

Justin Worley is Senior Sales, Operations and Content Executive at Paramount Pictures Australia, proudly part of the incredible team which took Top Gun: Maverick to record-breaking heights, as the third highest-grossing film of all time in Australia, with a box office of more than $92 million.

He joined the company in 2015, in what was his first film industry job. Whilst he started in sales, it wasn’t long before Justin became the go-to person for technical production.

Technology is one passion of this self-confessed nerd, and one of his crowning achievements is the ParaSales website and portal, which he conceived and built, including the content delivery system in the backend.

Effectively a content platform, it is now used by most departments within both Paramount Pictures Australia and New Zealand, and by other English-speaking Paramount territories. It is also the place where cinemas can go to get information and assets for Paramount titles they would otherwise have to go to a sales representative for.

By August 2022, the platform had 14,000 users —including personnel from over 250 cinemas—and had saved Paramount Pictures Australia hundreds of thousands of dollars in content delivery to cinemas.

Justin’s vast skill set spans the mastering, distribution, and projection of DCP content; server management; content editing, website building, design and maintenance (including the MPIBS website); proficiency in Photoshop video graphics and audio mixing; and managing logistics and formats.

He has extensive experience and tertiary qualifications in lighting and sound production and has worked on countless drama productions and music festivals.

Justin’s previous work history includes a two-year stint in the United Arab Emirates. At the billion-dollar Grand Opening party of the Palm Atlantis Hotel and Resort in Dubai in 2008, attended by 5,000 VIPs including Robert Downey Jr, Oprah Winfrey and Emirate royalty, Justin was the Lighting Technician.

For the 2008 Rugby World Cup, Justin was a Video Technician and managed corporate technology from the Atlantis hotel, including facilitating team meetings and providing technical support to the Seven Network in Australia.

And he was the Prince of Saudi Arabia’s Personal Technician for three weeks – facilitating global meetings from the Atlantis.

Justin also worked for Royal Carribean Cruise Lines as a Lighting Technician on board The Mariner of the Seas for two tours.

One of Justin’s career highlights is the compliment he received from Director Dexter Fletcher at the 2019 Premiere of his film Rocketman in Sydney, who said it was “the best he had ever heard his movie sound.”
