Anne Bruning
Anne Bruning is a highly regarded Australian independent Line Producer and Unit Production Manager and has worked in the Australian and international film industry for over 20 years. Anne’s long list of credits includes Australian and International network television series, movies-of-the-week and US blockbuster movies. Anne has been a member of the Directors’ Guild of America since 2005.
She has worked with award-winning Directors Baz Luhrmann, James Wan, Sir Peter Jackson, Bruce Beresford, John Woo, Stuart Beattie, James Mangold and Brad Peyton.
Anne has established herself as the go-to Line Producer and Unit Production Manager for US studios shooting in the southern hemisphere. As UPM, Anne oversaw production on the box office smash hit San Andreas for New Line & Warner Bros.; Baz Luhrmann Untitled Elvis Musical; Aquaman; The Wolverine for 20th Century Fox; I, Frankenstein for Lionsgate & Lakeshore Entertainment; and the TV film remake South Pacific starring Glenn Close and Harry Connick Jr. Anne also served as Production Supervisor on The Last Samurai for Warner Bros and as Production Manager on Mission: Impossible II for Cruise/Wagner Productions & Paramount Pictures.
She has had a long association with three-time Oscar winning Director, Sir Peter Jackson serving as UPM on King Kong and then Line Producer on the critically acclaimed best-selling novel The Lovely Bones for DreamWorks, starring Susan Sarandon, Rachel Weisz and Mark Wahlberg.
Anne is also an independent Film Production Consultant for the Australian Federal department of the Ministry for the Arts, with the role of assessing offshore productions for the Federal Government’s Screen Production Tax Incentives.
She began her career in the early 90s in production management on Australian and international television series and features including The Sum of Us, starring Russell Crowe, and Paradise Road working with renowned Australian Director Bruce Beresford. Anne’s other credits include: Tomorrow When the War Began; Farscape Series 4 (22 eps); Drift; Heartbreak High; Dating the Enemy; Back of Beyond; and Nostradamus Kid.
Anne has recently completed working on the Baz Luhrmann Untitled Elvis Musical.
