Daniel Titmus

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Production and Film Studies from the University of Western Sydney (1999). He is also a graduate of the practical Film Production course as part of the UBS at the University of Sydney (2000). 

Daniel started working in the film industry as a booker for United International Pictures (UIP) in 2001. At the time, UIP was the theatrical distributor for both Universal Pictures and Paramount Pictures in Australia.  

After UIP split as a joint venture in 2007, Daniel continued with Paramount Pictures as NSW Sales Manager. In 2010, he was promoted to the role of Sales Director for Paramount Pictures International in Australia, and holds this position currently. 

As Sales Director, Daniel has led the sales and distribution strategy for all of the studio’s theatrical releases in Australia, most notably through the continuation of global franchises including MISSION IMPOSSIBLE and STAR TREK as well as the launch of the hugely successful TRANSFORMERS franchise and the birth of the Marvel cinematic universe with the releases of IRON MAN, THOR and CAPTAIN AMERICA.

Daniel has also taken an active role in local acquisitions through the release of films such as TOMORROW WHEN THE WAR BEGAN and formed local partnerships with other distributors, Including Transmission Films on such high profile commercial and critical successes as THE KINGS SPEECH.

Daniel joined the MPIBS as a council member in 2015.
