Jenny Ward
Jenny is a highly respected and internationally recognised sound editor who has worked on over 40 feature-length productions including Kiss or Kill (1997), In A Savage Land (1999), King Kong (2005), Happy Feet (2006), Australia (2008), The Way Back (2009) and The Great Gatsby (2014).
Jenny’s work has been recognised with many national and international nominations and awards, including an AACTA in 2014 for Best Sound for the film The Great Gatsby. Jenny has twice been part of an Academy Award winning team for the films King Kong and Happy Feet.
Jenny was awarded the 2014 NSW Cinema Pioneer of The Year Award by The Society of Australian Cinema Pioneers, inducted in 2016 as a Life Member of the Australian Screen Editors guild (which she co-founded in 1996), and received the prestigious Gold Honour Badge from the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) in 2017 in recognition of her advocacy on behalf of her film and TV colleagues, including being the NSW Branch Vice-President of the MEAA for 10 years.
Jenny has taught editing and sound at the internationally recognised Australian Film, Television & Radio School (AFTRS) and been a guest film lecturer at The University of Sydney. Jenny continues to be an MEAA member and, since 2012, has proudly represented her colleagues on the Motion Picture Industry Benevolent Society's governing council.
