With over 20 years’ experience in the Cinema Exhibition industry, Martin Bagley is currently the Director of Operations for The Hoyts Corporation Pty Ltd in Australia overseeing the cinema operations for the Group. HOYTS is the second largest exhibition group in Australia and New Zealand and operates 483 screens across 55 locations.

Martin’s extensive career in cinema exhibition commenced with HOYTS Cinemas in cinema management after graduating from Macquarie University in Sydney. Over his career Martin has worked across several key exhibitors and was responsible for operations of Worlds Biggest Screens Pty Ltd, who launched the IMAX® experience to the Pacific region in 1996. Martin established IMAX Theatre operations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland and Thailand. 

Martin has also held roles as General Manager - Asia Pacific at ICON Software Pty Ltd, a leading cinema industry ticketing system provider, as well as senior Operations Management roles with IMAX Australia Pty Ltd and Major Cineplex Cinemas, the largest operator of movie theatres in Thailand and Laos.

In 2005, Martin re-joined a new HOYTS Cinemas management team and in 2014 was promoted to the role of Director of Operations reporting directly to Damian Keogh, President & CEO of the HOYTS Group, now owned by Wanda Film Holding Co, a subsidiary of Chinese operator Wanda Group.
